Alexander Andrushchenko was born in 1998 in St. Petersburg, Russia in the family of the principal
harpist of Mariinsky Theatre
Olga Shevelevich.

Started learning harp at the age
of 5. Already at 5 started public performances.

In March 2005 participated in the
masterclass of Skaila Kanga. Same March has successfully performed at the International Harp Festival in Moscow. In May 2005 has given a critically acclaimed performance on stage of the famous Chamber Hall of the St.Petersburg Philharmonic.

The greatest achievement has happened in February 2005 when the young harpist has won the Grand Prix at the National Competition in St. Petersburg.

In august 2005 family moved to Germany.

In April 2006 he has won The First Prize and Public Price at The Competition of Young Musicians “Muzik Talente” in Linmburg, Germany.

In November 2006 Alexander has won 2nd Prize in the 4th International Harp competition "Felix Godefroid", Namur (Belgium) in junior category.
