Saint-Petersburg Philarmonic Brass-Quintet
"Russian Brass"

This album is the first recording of the ensemle. The musicians perform arragements of the most popular classical works of composers of both the 19th century (Glinka, Borodin, Tchaikovsky) and the 20th (Shostakovich, Khachaturian). The ensemble also performs works belonging to musical genres and movements of the 20th century, such as jazz and so on (Ignatiev, Kizhaev). Music written specially for brass instruments (Trayan, Vall) is of course most important for them.
