IGOR GAVRILOV was born in Odessa (USSR) in 1965 and graduated
from the Saint-Petersburg Conservatory
in 1994 with diploma in Opera Vocal (Prof. Alekseev). He completed his
postgraduate study in Opera Solo Vocal with leading professors of that
discipline.

Besides work at opera theaters Igor Gavrilov concertizes,
and this activity is intensive and diversified. He performs with enowned
Petersburg musicians. In the 1994/1995 concert season alone he interpreted
part Colline in “La Boheme” with conductor Maris Yansons and part bass
in “Messia” Händel with conductor Ravil Martinov and appeared in
any concerts in prestigious concert halls.
Igor Gavrilov interpreted vocal works by contemporary
composers (Gavrilin, Slonimsky) and often is their premier performer.
Igor Gavrilov has recordings on the Russian Radio and TV.
