Bright and extraordinary event took place in the St. Petersburg musical life.
New company - Double Duet "Ma.Gr.Ig.Al" appeared on theatre stage. It is a tradition
that at the beginning of the century new unordinary ideas and musical projects
established. I. Ponomarenko - former leader of the famous Petersburg "Terem quartet",
became the founder of the new company.

The
Stravinsky Quartet
was founded in 1992 and was originally named "The New Philharmonic Quartet". Unlike
the most of string quartets starting from classes of conservatories, this ensemble
was formed by four mature professional musicians, who had already had behind a
rich experience in solo-, chamber- and orchestra- music making as well as teaching
at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory. The group tours worldwide and in Russia,
has made live broadcasts with Radio Companies of Switzerland, BBC, and Russian
Classical Radio, as well as CDs. The full updated informational site of the Quartet
is being under construction now.

Quintet
"Kronwerk-Brass"
The quintet "Kronwerk-Brass" was founded in June 1997 in St. Petersburg.
It consists of musicians, that have graduated from the St. Petersburg Conservatoire
named after N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov - the oldest musical school in Russia - after
many years of extensive studies.

Brass Quintet
The leading musicans of varios symphonic and theatre orchestras of St. Petersburg
as well as winners of international and national competitions are among the members
of the band. The quintet makes successful tours in Europe. In 2000 in Edinburg
the quintet got the Angel Award estabilishet by The Herald Tribune Newspaper.
